We are pleased to offer work experience placements to enthusiastic students aged sixteen years and over.
Placements are booked in five-day blocks and will provide students with a broad overview of the work of our Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses and Care Assistants.
Unfortunately, due to the high demand for placements we cannot offer school work experience to students in years nine, ten and eleven. We appreciate that all students wishing to pursue a career within the veterinary industry will require relevant experience but we recommend undertaking a placement in a related industry if under the age of sixteen.
We ask all students wishing to apply for work experience to complete the Work Experience Application Form and return this either via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by handing in at reception.
All offers of work experience are subject to interview.
If you would like further information on becoming a Veterinary Surgeon or a Veterinary Nurse please click on one of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons links below:
If you are unsuccessful in gaining a work experience placement with us, please do not be put off. Please see https://findavet.rcvs.org.uk/home/ for a list of practices that may be able to accommodate your request.
