Meet Our Team of Vets

Dr Ben MA VetMB MRCVS

Director / Veterinary Surgeon

Ben founded Park House Veterinary Centre with his wife Kathryn in September 2001. After qualifying from the University of Cambridge in 1997, he started his career working in mixed practice in Cornwall, before moving into specialist small animal practice in Windsor and then Exeter.

Ben enjoys all aspects of small animal practice, especially clinical pathology. Ben performs a lot of the in-house cytology, enabling rapid results for our patients. At home, Ben and Kathryn have two children, a scruffy, long haired cat called Herbert, a Ragdoll called Faf de cat and some chickens.

Dr Nick BVSc Cert SAS MRCVS

Nick graduated with Distinction from the University of Bristol in 2005, and has always had a strong interest in surgery. Nick has worked in practices ranging from mixed small and large animal work, through to being the lead veterinary surgeon in a referral practice.

Nick was awarded the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Small Animal Surgery (Cert SAS) in 2011 and also holds RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in Small Animal Surgery. In 2017, Nick joined Park House vets and has continued to develop our ability to provide the very best in surgical options for our patients.

Nick's current clinical area of interest is in the use of 3D CT (computed tomography) guided correction of limb and spinal deformities. When not at work, Nick is a keen cyclist and is a rugby coach at Stafford Rugby club.

Dr Katie BVSc Cert SAM MRCVS

Katie graduated with Distinction from Bristol University in 2005. She started work in mixed practice but soon found her love for small animal medicine. Katie achieved a certificate in Small Animal Medicine (CertSAM) in 2010 and was awarded Advanced Practitioner status in Small Animal Medicine in 2015.

Katie joined our team in 2016. She loves investigating complex medical cases and uses her skills in small animal ultrasonography, endoscopy and laparoscopy to achieve a high level of non-invasive diagnostics.

Outside of work, Katie is kept busy with her children, and relaxes by running with her rescue lurcher 'Dougie' and gardening.

Geoff BVetMed CertVC MRCVS

Geoff graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2005 and started work in a busy small animal practice in Tamworth soon after, where he worked alongside Dr Katie for many years. Geoff enjoys all aspects of veterinary work but has a particular passion for cardiology and ultrasound.

After several years of study Geoff gained his RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Cardiology in 2011, and then was awarded Advanced Practitioner status in Veterinary Cardiology in 2015. In December 2021 Geoff joined us at Park House where he continues to use his cardiology and ultrasound skills to help our patients.

Outside of work Geoff enjoys spending time with his family, photography, watching films and cycling. He owns a beautiful young rescue cat called 'Kylo' who provides lots of entertainment and keeps him on his toes!

Kathryn BVetMed Cert AVP MRCVS
